Green Fountain Pen Porcelain Limoges Box

Laid out like a classic fountain pen, this slender green piece calls to mind letters written slowly and signed with care. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, meant for display rather than for writing.

Ink, Nib and Penmanship

Fountain pens still have a loyal following among people who enjoy the feel of a good nib on paper. The green finish gives this one a rich, traditional look, and the long shape makes it an unexpected thing to find in porcelain.

On the Writing Desk

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a writing, office or professional grouping
• Pairs with typewriter, book and other fountain pen pieces

Marking the Milestones

A pen has long been a traditional present for a graduation, a first job, a promotion or a new law or medical practice. This one also suits an author finishing a manuscript, a teacher at the end of a long career, or anyone who still writes thank-you notes by hand.

A Spot Beside the Blotter

Lay it across a desk blotter, set it beside a stack of stationery, or line it up with the blue and black pens from the same series for a small trio. It looks at home in a study, a library corner or a home office bookcase.
