Hamburger with Fries on a Plate Limoges Box

A stacked hamburger and a heap of golden fries share a plate here, the classic diner order rendered in fine porcelain. This playful dish is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Order Up at the Counter

There is real humor in giving a burger and fries the same careful brushwork usually saved for flowers and fine patterns. The bun, the layers in between and every fry on the side are painted by hand, so the little plate looks good enough to order.

Cookout and Diner Favorites

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Belongs in a food, diner or backyard cookout theme
• Pairs with barbecue grill, ice cream sundae and cherry pie pieces

Who Gets This Plate

It is a natural choice for a grill master, a restaurant owner, a short-order cook or the friend whose order never changes. It also makes a fun birthday present for anyone who would pick a good burger over a fancy dinner every time.

Setting the Table

Put it on a kitchen windowsill, a diner-style breakfast nook or a shelf of other food pieces. Next to more formal porcelain it makes people smile, which is exactly the point.
