Lighthouse and Boat on the Ocean Limoges Box

A lighthouse watches over a boat on the open ocean, a seaside scene of safe passage and steady light. The whole coastal view was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, as a Limoges box.

Guiding Them Home

For centuries, lighthouses have guided sailors past rocks and shoals, their beams sweeping across dark water. Paired with a boat heading for harbor, this piece tells a small story of journeys and safe returns. It holds special meaning for anyone who has waited for a loved one to come home from the sea.

Harbor Pairings

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a coastal, nautical or lighthouse collection
• Pairs with sailboat, anchor and seashell pieces

Seaside Occasions

Give it to a fisherman, a sailor, a Coast Guard retiree, or a couple who just bought a cottage by the shore. It looks lovely on a beach house mantel, a bookshelf of sea stories, or a windowsill with an ocean view. It is also a thoughtful remembrance for a family with ties to the sea, and a cheerful present for anyone planning a lighthouse tour along the coast of Maine or the Outer Banks.
