Lighthouse on the Rocks Porcelain Limoges Box

A lighthouse stands firm on a rocky outcrop, ready to shine through fog and storm. This rugged coastal landmark was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, and shaped as a Limoges figurine box.

Standing Fast on the Rocks

Many of the world's most famous lighthouses were built on rocky points and islands, where the danger to ships was greatest. Their keepers lived through gales and long winters to keep the lamp lit. This porcelain lighthouse on its bed of rocks honors that resilience, a symbol of strength that collectors of coastal pieces hold dear.

A Beacon for Milestones

Give it to someone starting a new chapter, a mentor who has been a guiding light, a lighthouse enthusiast, or a friend who just visited Peggy's Cove or Pemaquid Point. It looks striking on a mantel or a desk.

Built to Weather Time

Limoges porcelain is a hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat for strength. Many pieces, this lighthouse among them, are hand-painted only after that firing.
