Mallard Duck Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

A mallard duck, the familiar drake of ponds and marshes, glides into this nature-themed figurine box. The duck was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, and made as a Limoges box for waterfowl fans.

Out on the Marsh

Mallards are the most widespread wild duck in North America and Europe, known for the male's glossy green head and white neck ring. They are often the first ducks a young birder learns to name and a classic subject for decoy carvers and wildlife painters. This porcelain mallard brings that early-morning marsh feeling indoors.

From the Duck Blind to the Den

Give it to a duck hunter, a decoy collector, a bird watcher, or a friend with a cabin on the lake. It looks right at home on a lodge mantel, a den bookshelf, or a windowsill overlooking the pond. It also makes a welcome thank-you for a wetlands conservation volunteer or a nature center guide, and a cheerful present for anyone who feeds the ducks on Sunday walks.
