Parrot in a Birdcage Porcelain Limoges Box

A parrot perches inside its cage, looking ready to chat with anyone who walks by. This talkative bird is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Polly Wants a Shelf

Parrots are famous for their bright feathers, their long lives and their ability to mimic the household. This caged parrot captures that personality, with both bird and cage painted by hand.

For Bird People and Talkers

It makes a fun present for a parrot owner, an avian veterinarian, a pet shop owner or a friend who never stops talking. It also suits someone back from a tropical vacation where parrots greeted them at breakfast.

From Kiln to Cage

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain has been fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand as well. Set this parrot in a sunroom, on a windowsill or beside potted palms for a tropical corner.
